Spiral/ Mitts bring an element of contrast to classic cables by working the cables just with GENMOU and marling both GENMOU and Silk Mohair together for the spaces between each cable. This simple twist makes for simple cabled mitts that make a special impression.
These fingerless mitts are worked in the round from the bottom up. The cable pattern is worked with two yarns: a single stand of Genmou is used when knitting the cables and then held together with a single strand of Silk Mohair when working the reverse stockinette stitch in between. The thumb gusset is placed on hold until the body is completed and then is worked in the round.
To make the matching hat, just add one additional ball of GENMOU.
