A charming vest with a fluttering hem and dainty collar. Worked in the light fingering weight Dry Desert Camel yarn from Nomadnoos, Ravel works up soft and light. The large armholes and line of small buttons down the faux button band add interest and style.
Ravel is worked from the bottom up in the round starting from the wide hem. After the hem is worked, the number of stitches is decreased dramatically and the vest is worked even to the underarms. The front and back are divided and worked flat separately to the shoulders, where they are then seamed together again. The collar and armhole bands are worked directly from the body. DPNs (double pointed needles) are used to complete the faux button band.
