The Japan Wool Project is a group of volunteer ranchers and brands from all over Japan that are working hard to revive domestic wool production before the technology for it in Japan is lost. 100% Japanese wool is too stiff to be used for clothing, so to make this yarn more versatile No. 30 Japan Wool 2/7 is a blend of 30% domestic Japanese wool and 70% Australian merino wool.
AND WOOL contributes to the Japan Wool Project by producing this yarn and creating sweaters made with it, too.
